In Colorado, summer isn’t just one of the four seasons; it’s a season of sound waves, perfectly accompanied by the beautiful scenery of the Rocky Mountains. Colorado had EHS students travel all around the state this 2025 summer. Colorado hosted artists from Tyler the Creator, Justin Timberlake, The Weekend, Metallica, and many more at venues like Red Rocks and The Ball Arena. Not only were the well-known tourist sights, Red Rocks, and The Ball Arena, joined by artists, but the Greeley Stampede was as well. Greeley was accompanied by artists such as Parker McCollum, Ludacris, BigXthaplug, Justin Moore,
Two students from Eaton High School attended some of the artists who visited the Stampede. Misael Aceviz (27) attended Parker McCollum. Aceviz said, “I enjoy Parker McCollum’s music. I think his lyrics have a very enjoyable meaning, almost relatable.” Aceviz also said that his favorite song from McCollum is “Misunderstood.” Aceviz said, “It’s an oldie, but it’s one of my favorite songs. The rhythm of the song just gives summer vibes, and it was cool to see him in person.” Aceviz hopes to see other artists like Peso Pluma next summer.
While Aceviz has his thoughts on the country side of the stampede, what about the pop/rap side. Another student from EHS attended Ludacris with BigXthaplug. Jayde Perry (27) attended with some of her family to see Ludacris. Perry said, “I wanted to see Ludacris because it was close by and I had heard some of his songs that I liked. I also knew a lot of other people who I am friends with were going to see him as well.” Perry, like most, enjoyed how close and convenient the Stampede is to go and see some trending artists. Perry said,”My favorite song is “Yeah!” by Usher featuring Ludacris. I think it’s a classic song everyone likes. I also like “Glamorous” by Fergie Featuring Ludacris. It’s an older song, but it’s a song my mom and I enjoy a lot.” Perry enjoys pop/rap artists but country as well. She said, ”I wish I had gone to see Cody Johnson even though he performed at the Cheyenne Frontier Days. I do hope to see some new artists next year like Rauw Alejandro.” While many other students also attended the Greeley Stampede, Others attended further away at Red Rocks and The Ball Arena to see other big artists like the Suicide Boys, The Weeked, and Coldplay. While the stampede season has ended, that doesn’t mean the Ball Arena and Red Rocks have. Many more artists are scheduled to perform such as Teddy Swimson Aug. 26, 2025, T-pain on Oct. 28, 2025, and many more. Both Aceviz and Perry hope to see Spanish singers next year. Colorado has a big variety of artists. Until next summer, what other unique sound tracks will Colorado have to offer.
