The Reds faced The Academy for their homecoming game, but for the first time this season the Reds had more to worry about than just their opponents. With temperatures reaching 43 degrees and a steady rainfall, the team had to overcome, senior lineman, Jeremy Murano said, “Adapting to the weather was the most challenging part of the game.”

Eaton had no problem conquering the weather or the Jaguars with a final score of 34-18. The Reds had a record high in all purpose yards racking up a total of 409 during the game and a perfect field goal percentage with freshman Jose Lopez, scoring all four field goal attempts. Quarterback Scotty Grable had a 90% rating with 112 passing yards. The Reds totaled 344 rushing yards throughout the game. Judson Church (19) said, “It was a tough battle against a tough team, but our offense woke up and it was fun to get back to putting points on the board for our homecoming crowd.”

Defensively, the Reds had 38 tackles and four sacks, holding The Academy to only 18 points. The Reds will play at home again on Oct. 12 versus the undefeated Resurrection Christian Cougars.
