Senior Spotlight: Alex Castaneda

Alex Castaneda (22) plans to continue wrestling and his academics at the collegiate level in the fall. Castaneda is on Eaton High School’s wrestling team, along with assistant coaching little league wrestling. He enjoys hunting and hanging out with his friends in his free time. Following his State Wrestling Championship, Castaneda considers his legacy at Eaton High School.

Castaneda said, “I hope to leave a legacy of leadership and being a friendly person. I hope as a State Champion, I inspire future Reds to work hard and accomplish their goals. Leadership is about working hard and helping those around you.”

His qualities show what an Eaton Red should embody, in every activity. “The most important thing to me as a leader of the school is to bring everyone together to create more of a family rather than just a school. In this small community we all support each other and I have committed to keeping that tradition alive,” said Castaneda. Whether he’s in his classes, the student section, or on the mat, Castaneda is driven. Castaneda said, “The most important letter in the EATON acronym to me is ownership. I believe you should always hold yourself to a higher standard and take ownership of your dreams and goals to successfully pursue them.”
