The Reds immediately sprinted back and evened the score, and by halftime they had pulled into a 20-point lead 38-18. Because of Eaton’s dominance, head coach Dean Grable was able to bring in several underclassmen including sophomore Dirk Duncan and several juniors including Scott Grable.

Scott Grable was the Reds highest scorer, putting up 13 points, five rebounds and three assists. Although the Reds chalked up a significant win on the night, their coach said that was not their only objective.  “Obviously to get a win,” Grable said, “but more importantly recognize our outstanding seniors and what they mean to our basketball program.” This game, being one of the last home games of the season, was all about giving back to the seniors and giving them a night to remember.

Continuing with the lead on the last two quarters all of the seniors contributed to the win, and the team scored a total of seven three-pointers.

This win, especially for the seniors, was the highlight of the season. Inda (20) said, “The parents made it a great night and it makes you appreciate everything they have done.”
