Eaton girls basketball defeated the Strasburg Indians 51-34 on Tuesday, February 5. Reds maintained a lead over the Indians with a half time score of 25 – 15. Sophomore Jennifer Jarnagin scored multiple three point shots during the game, adding to the Reds winning score. Jennifer credits the success of the game to her teammates saying, “There was lots of communication, everyone’s always looking for the best shot that we can take and helping on defense.” Freshman Ahana Leffler also commented on the communication of the game, “When we communicate with each other the game flows a lot better and we are able to score points to win the game.”

Coach Todd Hernandez agreed with the girls, saying, “I think this game showed what kind of team we are capable of being. We moved the ball well and found the open man, and were very unselfish.” This game adds another to win to Eaton’s girls basketball 9-0 league season. Reds are currently ranked first in Patriot League and fourth in 3A state rankings.
