The tennis varsity team came out with a great win over the University Bulldogs. The Reds hosted their third meet at home on Saturday, Apr. 8th.

The team came out very strong during the match and took victory with a 5-2 score. “Before each match we usually try to hype eachother up, tell each other to at least enjoy playing instead of getting ourselves done, and if we make one mistake redeem yourself the next point,” said Abby Copeland (23). Aubrey Ledall (23) won her one singles, followed by Copeland and Tiana McDaniel (23) for one doubles, Kallie Salberg (24) and Tayla Wiedeman (24) for two doubles, Shelby Shuman (23) and Chloe Stevens (24) for three doubles, and finally Jenna Batka (23) and Lily Kennedy (25) for four doubles. “We worked really well together, and we communicated a lot and got along even though it was our first time playing together,” said Kennedy.

Girls varsity team will play their next match on Monday, Apr. 10th at home. Followed by that they will face Resurrection Christian Tuesday, Apr. 11. For weekly updates tune into Eaton Red Ink.
