In the music industry, “The Grammys” are one of the three biggest music awards to annually take place. Also one of the biggest awards that an artist can receive and be nominated for. The award is presented by The National Academy of Arts & Sciences and The Latin Academy of Arts & Sciences. The winners are selected from multiple genres of music. 

For Album of the year, Beyonce won with her album “Cowboy Carter”. All together throughout her music career, she’s won 35 grammys. Freshman Kaiya Corban stated “The Grammys this year were horrible. There were definitely better albums that could have been chosen. Cowboy Carter was not played as much as Taylor Swift who I think should’ve been chosen to win Album of the Year.”  Taylor Swift left the Grammys empty handed after throughout her music career, she’s earned 14 Grammy Awards. 

At the Grammys, Kendrick Lamar won the most grammys out of everyone chosen for the award. According to Time Magazine, “Diana Ross walked out, looking angelic in a white tulle gown, to a standing ovation to present the award for Song of the Year, which Kendrick Lamar won for “Not Like Us.” With five wins in the evening, the song is undoubtedly the most successful diss track in recent memory, making Drake’s absence at the show all the more glaring (and arguably understandable).” Kendrick’s song chosen was a diss song about Drake which may have caused feuds in the crowd.

The 2025 Grammys took a hit on social media but many different people had separate opinions about the night. The topic became a trend on the internet as it usually does every year.
