Skills club hosts over 600 people

Before the homecoming game Friday, September 30, FFA, FCCLA, FBLA, and other Skills USA clubs put together a banquet for the third time, as a tradition, to bring the community together for a home cooked meal and a pro-chatting environment.
Shelley Tregoning said, “It was nice to have the Taste of Eaton added to homecoming this year. We have never had it take place before the homecoming game and that helped get more people involved. It was a good part of homecoming.” After the Taste of Eaton, a crowd of full stomachs made its way to the football stadium to cheer on their home team during the homecoming game against the University bulldogs.
“This year there were over 800 people attending,” Tregoning, said that the Taste of Eaton was very busy, but this year it ran very smoothly that it did not seem like a lot of people attended. Instead of one line that is normally done there was two line that helped community members receive their food quickly. Students and teachers worked hard during the week to have this event come to life and fundraise money for the clubs.
