With stars like Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes who have boarded the Lokai train, Lokai has emerged as the latest popular bracelet craze.
Steven Izen, founder of Lokai has stated that his goal behind the brand is for everyone to find their balance. The bracelet is made up of two colored, and several clear beads. The white bead carries water from Mt. Everest and the black bead contains mud from the Dead Sea.
According to the bracelet’s creator, the purpose is to bring balance from the highest place and lowest place on earth. Izen has said he once felt like he was at his absolute low in life and that is what the Dead Sea mud represents. The white bead represents the times in life when you are at the very top of the world. The water and mud complete the cycles of life. He made the rest of the original bracelets beads clear because everyone has their own story to tell. Many celebrities have raved about how wonderful the bracelets are.
Lokai is currently supporting the Alzheimer’s Foundation with a limited edition bracelet that is purple. Lokai donates 10 percent of its net profits to charitable partners. Other charities include Save the Children, Susan G. Komen, WWF, Best Buddies International, Charity: Water, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Pencils of Promise, Music Beats Hearts, American Himalayan Foundation, Bent On Learning and Kind Campaign.
