The Eaton School District put together a facility committee to start looking at the possibility of a new school. Principal Mark Naill said, “The facilities committee is represented by parents and staff in the district.” The need to bring a new school into the district is due to the recent growth in the town and in the district. More people are living in the town of Eaton than ever before. Naill said, “Approximately ten years ago there was about 20% of out of district students and maybe more.” The district owns land west of Cherry and 5th Street. There is also a possibility of additions to current buildings. There is not yet any information on the grades that will be at the school, what it is supposed to look like or when it will be ready.
