The Academic award assembly honored all Eaton High School students who received a 3.5 grade point average or higher overall last year on Monday Aug. 31. At the assembly, each student got their various awards from Principal Mark Naill, Assistant Principal Rick Kaufman, and Secretary Lori Shelby. Many students were recognized for their academic achievement. Sadly, at the award assembly very few students were actually present, because Mr. Naill said over half of the ones invited decided that they would have to work on their homework instead.
Students who earned a 4.0 gpa last year or above got a letter for their lettermen jackets. The other students who made a 3.5 to 3.9 gpa received another variation of iron-on honor patches, also for lettermen jackets.
