The EHS Student Council will host a fall blood drive November 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those wishing to participate must be 18 years or older and can sign up and find information in the main office or with Student Council Advise Amy Irwin. Community members may email Lori Selby for help signing up if they cannot make it to EHS before the drive. Donors must bring a license or photo I.D. containing date of birth. It is recommended that donors drink plenty of water or fluids and eat before they donate. Follow the jump for more info!
According to NCMC Blood Donor Services:
- Over 50 blood donors are needed daily for trauma, surgery and cancer patients in our community
- In less than an hour your blood donation can save up to 2 lives
- Blood cannot be manufactured. We rely completely on volunteer blood donors.
- Every 3 seconds someone in the United States needs a blood transfusion.
