Since the beginning of the school year, students have been dining in the hallways of Eaton High School supporting a locally owned restaurant, Mi Gallo Giro is making business in Eaton in the middle of the fast food chains already established in town. Mi Gallo Giro, is a locally owned Mexican Food restaurant located on the corner of 1st St. and Elm Ave. The restaurant was opened just this recent school year and they recognize and thank the students at EHS for their patronage claiming, “They [EHS students] come in everyday, I see the kids everyday and it’s nice to see them eating our food.” One female employee at the restaurant, Maira, also claimed that on average there are about 20 or more kids who go in and order food every day. They offer a variety of different dishes from Breakfast Burritos, EHS students’ favorite, Tortas (Mexican Sandwiches), Tacos, Quesadillas, and more. The restaurant is definitely a hit with the students, and is hoping to see students walking through their doors every day.
