After high school, Paige Davis (24) plans on attending Grand Canyon University to major in Music Education. Her plan is to become a music teacher, specifically band, with hopes of possibly being a choir director as well.
Davis is very involved in the EHS band program, as she is in four of the five bands that EHS has to offer: Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band and Marching Band. She enjoys being able to take part in multiple different bands.
Though she is very passionate about music, her main passion is her faith. Her walk with the Lord is the most important thing in her life.
To Davis, the most important EATON acronym is ownership. She recognizes that in order to achieve the most success, she needs to have ownership. “Even if it isn’t necessarily our doing, taking ownership and moving forward is a big aspect into getting where we want to be,” said Davis.
Being a part of so many different groups at EHS, including LINK, Davis knows what her role is as a leader. Davis said, “Being a leader in the school is really important to teach underclassmen, or even just people around us, how it is to be in such a great community and keeping up all the great things that we get to do.” Her leadership sets an example for others to put in the work to achieve their goals.
Davis is leaving her legacy as someone who is selfless. When asked about what she wanted people to remember of her, she responded by saying “I would want it to be how caring I always tried to be even when people weren’t the greatest towards me. How I always kept going and was a nice person to those who hurt me the most.”
