The Eaton boys and girls basketball teams seemed to start their years on flip sides of the coin. The girls have came out red hot with an undefeated record of 4-0 with wins against Weld Central, Ft.Morgan, Platte Valley and Jefferson Academy. The boys have played all the same teams this year but have fell to a record of 1-3, beating only Weld Central. The girls participated in The Roundball Classic Tournament hosted at Platte Valley on December 3rd,6th, and 7th and finished in first place, 3-0. The boys played in the same tournament hosted at home and finished the tournament 1-2. This Tuesday, December 10, both the boys and girls varsity hosted Jefferson Academy at home. The girls continued their winning streak as they beat Jefferson 54-46. The boys on the other hand fell short of the win on the scoreboard, as they fell in defeat with a score of 22-63. The girls will take on Kent Denver at home on Dec. 19th, and the boys with head down to Kent Denver, as both teams fight to continue their season on a strong note.
