After dropping two matches in a row 3-0 to University and Valley respectively, the Reds ended the season with two wins in two straight games against Brush and Strasburg on Oct. 25. The Reds took three close games against Brush, winning by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-20. The Beetdiggers led for much of the third game, but Eaton came back to win and sweep them.
Eaton then routed Strasburg on parents’ night to close the regular season, controlling the whole match, and winning with scores of 25-12, 25-6, 25-8 respectively.
The young Reds showed life at the close of the regular season after looking disgruntled against University and Valley. They open regionals on Friday with two guaranteed matches against Bennett and Coal Ridge, two teams that Eaton has not played this season. Depending on how those games turn out will determine whether or not they make it to state, and their state seeding. The location of those games have not been announced yet.
