Eaton High School hosts annual fall festival

While the majority of Eaton High School students had the opportunity to sleep in on Friday, 28 students spent the morning gutting a whopping 150 pumpkins for Eaton High School’s annual Fall Festival held Saturday October 21. Members of all Eaton clubs volunteered to help with activities and games for the kids to play. The event began at 4pm and ended at 6pm. The activities included pumpkin carving, the barrel train, face painting, trick-or-treating through the hallways, and many more games for family enjoyment.

These games were set up in the Ag Shop for elementary aged kids to play with the assistance of high school students. FFA advisor Heidi Lanning said that trick-or-treat street was a popular activity among the young ones, as they enjoyed the candy from classrooms down the 62 hallway. FFA member Caitlyn Walker (20), said she enjoyed helping out. “It was a good experience,” Walker said. “I had fun helping with games and interacting with all of the kids.” Club members spend a lot of time every year preparing games and activities for Fall Festival, as they do with other annual events over the course of the year.
