Eaton High School boy’s basketball lost to Valley
By Devan McKenney
Eaton’s boys basketball narrowly lost to the Valley Vikings 52-56 on Jan. 17 while on the road. Micah Dorsey (17) led the team in points scored with 18 total points. He was 4-7 from the three-point line and 2-4 for two-pointers. Dorsey was also 2-2 on free-throws. Despite his big performance and the team still coming up short, Dorsey kept a positive outlook on the game. “Our team is definitely young but contains a lot of talent from all ten on varsity. We definitely need to execute more offensively and gain confidence in our shooting,” Dorsey said. “A positive thing that we can take away from that game was that, unlike other games, we came out strong in the first quarter. If we can replicate that for the rest season, that will put us in a good spot closing in around postseason.” Freshman Nic Inda stepped up big for the Reds and dropped nine points. For Valley, Tyler Kissler (19) and Dillon Rudd (17) each scored 16 points. The boys will face off at home versus Brush on Jan. 20 at 7 p.m.
