Eaton High School staff and student body raise money with month tradition

Students who participated in the No-Shave November contest raised over $400 for cancer research. 85 people participated in the contest sponsored by student council. Student body president Tarynn Sieg (16) said that only five people shaved early. In total, the contest raised $425.
Student council advisor Chris Love said that the Matthew Hill Foundation heads the competition and donates proceeds to four organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the Prevent Cancer Foundation, the Fight Colorectal Cancer Organization, and S. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. According to the Matthew Hill Foundation, No-Shave November has successfully raised $3.5 million to help combat cancer, as well as providing funds for research and education.
