The Eaton girls track team won the 3A state championship with a final score of 108 at Jeffco Stadium on Saturday, May 20. The boys finished fourth with a score of 47. For the boys, Josh Gregory (16) set five school records and still didn’t have a first place finish in any races. Gregory accounted for 23 points on his own. Jared Foss (16) had a personal record in the triple jump with a distance of 41’0.00, placing 13th. For the girls, Tarynn Sieg (17) set state wins in the shot put and discus, with distances of 45’.5 in the shot put and 142’.10 in the discus. The 800 SM relay got a meet win with a time of 1:49.84.
