Eaton’s Knowledge Bowl varsity team took the half-hour drive south to Regionals at University Middle School in Greeley and scored 78 total points. The team landed 3rd place in Region 7 and 8th overall. Eaton followed Liberty Common (1st Place) Frontier (2nd Place) in 3A. In 4A, Windsor took first. Fossil Ridge, a 5A school, took 1st overall at Regionals.
Isaiah Cordova (17) got an average of 27 points over four rounds. Cody Wyatt (18) got 21 points. Demi Ball (16) got 19 points. Tyler Alm (18) got 9 points. Hannah Bott (16) got 7 points, and Lindsey Leafgren (18) got 5.
The meet on Feb. 13 was enough to send the team to the State competition taking place March 13 and 14. 2016 is the fourth consecutive year where the team got to go to the State Competition. The next meet is at Estes Park Feb. 22.
