What high school wrestling coaches across the country call “the home stretch” is upon us, the Eaton Red’s wrestling team is currently ranked no.10 by coloradopreps.com. This is a huge turnaround to last year when the Red’s placed 23 at the state tournament. “Our team has come together this year,” Blake Miller (16) says. He attributes a lot of the team’s success to new head coach Tony Mustari. “He pushes everyone beyond their comfort zone,” says Jaymz Murano (16). The team ends every practice with the words, “one thing on three, one, two, three, win!” Confidence has been a major aspect to the team this year. “Give yourself a chance,” says coach Mustari to one of the struggling wrestlers in the room. “The last month of the season can be a grind, but you have to push past it if you want to be successful,” Tanner Kramer (16). “The home stretch” is crucial for the Red’s with a conference dual against University before heading into regionals.
