An early winter storm rocked Northern Colorado leaving EHS looking like a war zone. The storm started the 26 on Tuesday night and lasted all through Wednesday the 25. School was cancelled for Wednesday due to tree damage. Building Technician Steve Ehrlich said. “The school was closed as a safety factor because of the trees. There were some hanging over side-walks especially at the Eaton Elementary School.” The large cottonwood trees were sprawled out along the front lawn and continued dropping limbs once the snow began to melt.
Business teacher Chris Love said, “I was shocked when I heard there was no school because the roads were fine. Once I saw the tree damage out front I quickly realized why.”
