As the season begins to wind down, championship golf tournaments become a common conversation amongst the Eaton golf team. This year, four of Eaton’s finest golfers will be competing against the best of schools from around the state. Golfers J.D. Truax (16), Peter Grossenbacher (18), Andy Geisick (17), and Ethan Alcazar (18) prepare to represent Eaton in the coming tournaments. This is one of the youngest teams to participate from Eaton, as half of the team are underclassmen. Senior J.D. Truax is the oldest member of the team this year, “I’m excited to golf in the state tournaments this year for a third time, I’m hopeful for our team, we have a team full of young talent and personally i believe we can bring home a gold medal,” said Truax (16). The younger members of the team are in the spotlight as they prepare for state tournaments. “I can’t wait to see how the younger guys step up in these tournaments,” said Truax, “I know they’ll step up and pull through for us.” As the team prepares, yet again the brotherhood of the four golfers shows through. Whether it be in the halls, in the parking lot, or on the course, these boys are a shining example of a team.
