The new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are going to be Apple’s 8th iteration of their popular iPhone line. Apple is one of the largest tech companies of the modern day, and they have a large following of fans online.
This year’s iPhone is adding a few new improvements, including the new 3D Touch and iOS 9.
The 3D Touch is defined as “an entirely new dimension and a whole new dimension for how you experience your iPhone.”
3D Touch adds the ability to control apps from the home screen, depending on how hard you press on the icon, and iOS 9 adds this functionality to the new iPhones only.
Apple also revealed the iPad Pro, a tablet with a 12.9 inch screen and a thinner body than the previous generation of the iPad. Apple claims that the screen is the most advanced display that they have ever made because they increased touch sensitivity and allowed for more defined swipes. The iPad also allows for more input types, including their Apple Pencil.
These all sound like new improvements, but Android’s newest OS, Marshmallow, is comparable in many ways to iOS 9. The App Drawer on Android has many of the same features of the 3D Touch on iOS. The improvements on Siri against Android’s Google Now are comparable in many of the same ways.
iPad Pro is also not safe from the competition. Microsoft’s Surface Pro is cheaper in price from the get-go. The iPad Pro is going to be around $799 dollars for the most basic model while the Surface goes for $799 with twice as much memory as the iPad Pro. But for everything you will need to get the advertised performance, you might as well pay $949 and another $99 for the Apple Pencil.
If you want to buy a tablet for school or entertainment, go with the Surface Pro. The Windows 10 OS is better in nearly every way. And if you want a new phone, go for an Android phone. Android is putting out their new OS Marshmallow soon.
