White Converse is an explosive new trend taking over the halls this fall. The best part about these classic, white shoes is their versatility. With their neutral color, it is impossible to mismatch these kicks with any outfit. They are perfect for keeping it casual by dressing down skirts and dresses. Converse shoes have fallen in and out of popularity for over a century. Established in 1908, Converse first produced boots, but shortly after created their first pair of tennis shoes. Later on in 1920, Converse changed the name of their converse basketball shoe to “All Star,” the well-known name today. Converse were huge in basketball early on, because in 1939 both teams wore Converse in the NCAA Championship. Then in 1942, the U.S. Army Air Corp wore Converse tennis shoes to conserve rubber during WWII. However, Converse made an official appearance as everyday shoes in the late 70s and early 80s as Chuck Taylors. Now in 2015 they are in full swing once more. As students jump on the bandwagon of this trend, they struggle to keep their new kicks impossibly white. #worththestruggle
