Varsity track and field is already setting records this season. Though it is still very early, many of seniors and juniors are setting records for first and second places. Personal bests have also been plentiful this year. Dalton Waln (16) ran a 11.68 second 100 meter dash, placing first in the 3A Greeley Central Invitational meet as well as long jump, jumping a 19’7” jump. Tanner Frank took first as he ran 25.04 second 200 meter dash. Josh Gregory (16) placed first in his races running a 52.23 second 400 meter dash and a 2:13.38 minuet 800 meter dash. Conner Untiedt ran a 5:12.53 minute mile, also placing first in the season so forth. Elias Munoz (17) placed first once this season running a 11:11.31 minute double mile. On the field, Dalton Waln finished first, jumping a 19’7” jump this season for long jump. Similar to Jaxon Hobbs (17) also finishing first in his high jump, jumping 5’8”. Garrett Coalson (15) finished strong as well, as he threw first place for discus and shot put. Throwing 46’10” for shot put and 143’4” for discus. The next meet will take place Saturday the 28 at Greeley Central.
