With a high of 19ºF on Saturday, November 15 the Eaton Reds football team came out to play their final game of the season in the Colorado 2A Semifinals Playoff match against the first ranked Patriot League rival, Brush Beetdiggers (12-0, 5-0) who haven’t lost a game all season long. Their final home game would be one to remember for the Reds to finish out the season in the final four, along with the Beetdiggers, Kent Denver Sun Devils (12-0, 7-0) who will face each other in Brush on Saturday, Nov. 22, and the defending state champions Platte Valley Broncos (8-4, 4-1). The Reds last game came to a saddening loss against the Brush Beetdiggers with a final score of 42-14. This game would finish their season with a great playoff finish for first-year head coach, Zac Lemon. This concluded the season with three Patriot League contenders finishing in the final four for 2A state football this season.
