Even after his success in High School football, Eaton’s former running back Austin Ekeler continues to trample through life.
Some of Ekeler’s senior stats include 39 rushing touchdowns and 2,398 yards rushing yards. Which led the Reds to an undefeated regular season in his 12-13 year..
Now, having graduated from Eaton in 2013 with a half scholarship to Western State university. He continues to top the charts while playing for the Gunnison Mountaineers.
Since Ekeler has started as a true freshman, he has made the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Team, the Super Region first team freshman of the year, and been named player of the week in 2013. Ekeler said that he has always been supported. Whether it was by the teachers or people outside of school they were there to help him stay motivated and strive for success.
