As the end of the school year approaches, students and teachers begin to become overjoyed with the thought of summer. Summer gives students a break from all the homework, stress, and overwhelming environment education can bring to people’s lives. Teachers get the opportunity to have a break from their jobs and do other things that interest them in this life. Summertime in Colorado is filled with many exciting and breathtaking activities such as hiking, playing sports, sightseeing, and many people in Colorado’s favorite, going to concerts. With Eaton being close to two major summer concerts such as Cheyenne Frontier Days and Greeley Stampede, concert season is huge for EHS students.
Katie St. Jean (27) said, “I’m so excited for summer concerts like the Stampede and Cheyenne Frontier Days during the warm summer months being surrounded by so many friends and I am especially excited to see Parker McCollum perform at the stampede.”
The Stampede is a time of year friends and family get together to enjoy good music and enjoy the company of others. It makes it even more special when the artists have a special place in the heart of someone. Parker McCollum is an artist loved by many and will draw in a huge crowd for the Stampede. Having a big name artist like McCollum will bring joy to the many people that have loved his music but haven’t gotten the chance to see him in concert.
Lila DeJager (26) said, “I’m really excited to go to Parker McCollum at the Greeley Stampede because I’ve loved him for so long and I’m also really excited to go to Cheyenne Frontier Days and watch Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson and Megan Moroney.”
Parker McCollum is one of the big name artists that is playing at the Greeley Stampede but there are so many more to come at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Known for being the “daddy of ’em all,” Frontier Days is bringing in some big time artists this year. In past years the lineups have been good, but this year is going to be hard to top. From Brooks and Dunn to Luke Bryan and more, the concerts this year are going to be top tier and hard to miss out on.
Cash Rinker (25) said, “I’m really excited for Parker McCollum and all of Frontier Days because they’re big artists that everyone knows. It’s always exciting to go to concerts but when you actually listen to the artists on a regular basis and know all their songs, it makes it even more fun.”
Concert season is a special time of the year. It gives many the opportunity to spend time with their friends even with everyone’s busy schedules. Being a young adult comes with the simple truth of being busy constantly. Whether this is sports, family, clubs or jobs it becomes harder and harder to be able to spend time with the ones people care about. Summer concert season is a time where everyone can get together with the special people in their lives and make memories to last a lifetime.
