After high school, Cornella Brown (25) plans on attending Montana State University, where she plans to major in environmental design and then continue into a one-and-a-half-year master’s program to earn her master’s degree in architecture.
At Eaton High School, Brown is an active member of the school’s marching band and serves on the leadership team for the band program. She is in her second year as treasurer for the Eaton FFA Chapter and is involved in the National Honor Society. Brown has earned many awards and achievements in academics, music, FFA, and athletics as a manager.
Being heavily dedicated to her academics and her school activities, Brown is a natural leader.
She believes that being a leader is crucial because it allows one to inspire other students to grow and learn. “You can provide a mentor that people can look up to, and provide help to them as they also grow in their journey of life,” said Brown. Her commitment to leadership is evident in her roles and the positive influence she has on her peers.
For Brown, the most important word in the EATON acronym is tenacity. Brown said, “I think it is super important to work through every challenge and work your hardest to accomplish everything.”
To Brown, being an Eaton Red means holding herself and others accountable, maintaining high standards in actions and academic work, and striving for the best outcomes in high school and beyond.
As she prepares to graduate, Brown hopes to leave a lasting legacy by inspiring underclassmen. She wants to encourage them to always try their hardest and get involved in everything they are passionate about if they are willing to put in all the necessary effort.
Brown is passionate about the family she has created at Eaton High School. “Many people have helped me grow and have been an inspiration. I have created great memories with so many people, and knowing that all these people will be a part of the best memories of my lifetime. I hold a great passion for them,” said Brown. Her journey through high school is a testament to her passions and dedication, making her a true embodiment of what it means to be an Eaton Red.
