After high school, Callie Zacharias (25) plans to go to college and major in biochemical engineering. “After high school, I plan to go to college to major in biochemical engineering. I also am planning to continue my personal studies of saxophone performance and jazz studies,” said Zacharias. She is involved in the music program at the school, plays club volleyball, and plays classical piano.
Zacharias is the leader to the underclassman showing them the right path to go. “Being a leader at EHS is very important. Not only does it make you a prominent member of the school, but it also teaches you so many lessons about what it takes to be a good person in general. I have been a leader in the band program, the National Honor Society, the Key club, and others. Through these experiences, I have found that there is so much good that you can give to others by leading the way. After I graduate and leave EHS, I want people to think of me as an intelligent leader who is kind and loves to share music with everyone. “ Zaxcharis is in many clubs which can make the school work harder but she strives to lead.
Beyond being a leader, Callie is a very smart and excellent student at EHS. “ I am very passionate about music. Not only do I love playing music, but I also love listening to all genres of music. If I had to show off about myself, I would probably bring up my high academic achievements. I got a great SAT score and I have a high GPA. I also would brag about my skills in the saxophone. I live on the basis of being kind to everyone and always giving people a chance. There is so much more to a person than what they show. If I get the chance, I try to be nice to everyone. To be an Eaton Red is to be someone who strives for victory, and when they achieve their goals, they celebrate as much as they can. It is to always be reaching for the next level of whatever sport or activity they are involved in.” Zacharias said. In and outside of school for she shows her excellence and strength.
Although she is very busy with her academic and out-of-school life, Zacharis has shown EHS students a great path and how to be a great leader.
