After high school, senior Brody Niswender plans to study pharmacology and pharmacy practices while running track and field at the next level. After graduating he hopes to start this new journey somewhere in Wyoming.
At Eaton High School (EHS), Niswender is heavily involved in track and field and video and film production. Being involved in these different aspects, he has a well- rounded character and is well- versed in many different areas. “The most important word to me from the Eaton acronym is excellence. This is because I believe it’s crucial that everyone puts their best self forward, acting in a way that is right and true, so that way they can be an example to others as to what it means to be excellent, not in a prideful or selfish way but a humble way,” said Niswender. As a senior student and athlete, he is a great mentor and role model for the underclassmen of EHS.
Niswender is also very passionate about theology and dedicates a lot of his time to Christianity. He lives by the quote, “God is real and he wants your heart” and wants to leave a legacy at EHS of being a present person people saw in the hallways. Niswender said, “Not for my status or achievements but because I was honest and real, not a shell of a person that I put on for a social setting, that I was someone people could trust and talk to without having to worry about it.” Niswender and his legacy sets a good example for the students at EHS and embodies the role of being a leader at all times.
Actively leading is something that Niswender has practiced his entire high school career. “The importance of being a leader in your school is being someone people can look up to or learn something from. It’s nice to have people ask you questions or seek your guidance because you are a leader and have the qualities to be a good one. This helps others find their way of doing things but making sure that the proper foundations of character are present.” Not only has his excellence in school grown but his leadership skills as well. Niswender’s legacy is bound to leave a mark on EHS as he graduates in May of 2025.
