After high school, Alejandro Rodriguez (24) plans on attending college in Colorado to earn a degree in science, which will then lead to attending a Physician’s Assistant program.
Rodriguez is heavily involved in a variety of extracurricular activities in EHS. He is a LINK leader, participates in theater, and is in the choir as a member of the Troubadours. Music is something that inspires Rodriguez because he is very passionate about it. “Outside of school I like to spend time listening to music since it has a huge influence on me,” said Rodriguez.
To him, music is anything but meaningless. He appreciates how it creates memories and helps to control emotion. Rodriguez explained that, “There are so many different emotions in music that almost always relates to someone. It can help whatever you are going through.”
Being in LINK, Rodriguez is a natural leader. “I believe leadership in school is very important, because without leadership students wouldn’t be able to get their opinions heard,” said Rodriguez. He has a kind and outgoing demeanor that can light up any room.
The most important word of the EATON acronym to Rodriguez is ownership because “every person should be proud of their actions, and accepting yourself as you are is what leads to happiness in life.” he said. He feels honored to have been an Eaton Red, especially because he has gone to school here since kindergarten. “Being an Eaton Red has made me who I am today,” said Rodriguez.
