The Eaton High School Production Cast and Team will be performing the play, One Stoplight Town by Tracy Wells on Nov. 15 through Nov. 17. One Stoplight Town is a story of change, as seen through the lives of people living in a small town. This play will be performed in the EHS Auditorium at seven p.m. each night. Entry for students is $5 and for adults $7.
Many of the cast members have had an exciting buzz within them while preparing for this play. Actor Alejandro Rodriguez (24) said, “I’m excited to see the set come fully together because we have been working on it for so long, and I’m excited to see the whole play come together.”
The cast and production team consists of 12 cast members and eight tech producers. These members have been working on preparing for this fall performance since September. All of their hard work will be showcased to anyone in the community who wishes to attend.
Several cast and team members are excited to perform this play, to portray a message to their audience. Actor Mayzie Helzer (24) said, “I’m excited about the opportunity to show that change is always happening and we shouldn’t be afraid of it.” Members feel as though this play resembles the town of Eaton. Tech producer, Teagan Humphries (24) said, “I’m very excited for this show because I feel like it really resonates with our town.”
One Stoplight Town is classified as a one-act comedy and drama play. As the set has been built, the team has been able to give it some personalization. Although the play isn’t directly about Eaton, both the set and scenes may connect to the town.
