This year the choirs, both Women’s and Men’s, are learning fast how to work together to have a great sound. Most of the student choirs have never sung together before so they have to work a little bit harder to blend with one another. Over half of the Women’s Choir is made up of freshman. This means that a lot of them haven’t really sung together. With new students in all of the choirs they have to learn how to work together to have a really awesome fall concert. Most of the freshman haven’t had an actual choir where they learn all of the basics so they have to learn all of that too. Most of them are having to learn how to read music, get use to having different parts to sing (such as alto, soprano, bass, etc…), and how to have a more mature and full sound to their voice. This year’s choirs main challenges are going to be learning to blend with one another and, especially for the freshman, learning a foreign language piece. This year’s Bella Voice is having a lot of choreographed pieces which will be ones to watch out for.
