When you look in the mirror what do you see? I can tell you what music icon Justin Timberlake sees… six total grammy awards and a killer album.
Since the debut of his new 2013 album The 20/20 Experience that landed on shelves in March 19, Timberlake has been able to watch the hits from this album marinate in the minds of the people. On this album, the more well known hits include “Mirrors”, “Suit and Tie”, and also “Tunnel Vision.”
The cool part of the album itself is that the songs presented have Timberlake’s trademark falsetto voice, the fits almost perfectly into every song. The songs are enough to make some grown men cry because of the lyrics. This time around, Timberland really nailed the aspect of beautiful lyrics that don’t just cover themselves in sexuality (although that’s the underlying theme). Still Timberlake really has great ideas, especially the ideology of mirroring and class. Oh yeah Timberlake has some class in the form of a suit and tie.
Another part of the album is that Timberlake almost raps in sense of rhythm and purity. However, Timberlake does leave the rapping up to Jay Z on “Suit and Tie”. Really what it boils down to Timberlake created and smooth – almost jazz sound) – album with fancy wording and big band covered impressions. At 2013 MTV awards where Timberlake won best music video production as well, and delivered what some would call a ‘stellar’ performance receiving a standing ovation – especially from Late Night Show host Jimmy Fallon. Overall Timberlake has pushed away his legacy of just ‘N SYNC, and has really propelled himself into truly morphing into a successful artist. Accompanying with many different artist such as Jay Z on his new album “Holy Grail”, Timberlake is a hot commodity. I know one thing though, find your suit and tie because class has just arrived.
Also, The 20/20 Experience part 2 of 2 featuring “Take Back the Night” was releases September 30.
