If you turn on the radio and search almost every hit station in the country, chances are they have, are, or are going to play a song from the Imagine Dragons. Ever since people, such as me, first heard their song “It’s time” with the unique stomping and clapping intro, I instantly knew that this was going to become a song that would catch popularity. The Imagine Dragons music, straight out of Las Vegas, can be described as a mix of alternative rock with a feel of innovative modern rock. In many of their songs they tried to use different beats and instruments, that add different and unique sounds. Also, the voice of Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons, has a unique voice and mullet sort of hairstyle to go along with the bands music. Imagine Dragons is one of those bands who caught fire really fast after they debuted their first album Continued Silence, and they just began to burn out of control. Another artist like the dragons, you may have heard them, is Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, same case. Imagine Dragons also has another album out called Night Visions which consists of the big hit Radioactive. This song makes well use of synthesizers and rock flare. The breakout band, as told by Rolling Stone Magazine, has earned the right to have Radioactive as the rock hit of the year. If you haven’t checked them out, I strongly suggest you do. Pick out a whole album and just listen to it, because there are a lot more great songs you might just find yourself waking up to…hehe see what I did there.
