SZA excites fans with featured artists in her new album
Her SOS album released December 9, 2022
Hit alternative R&B music star SZA revealed the track list to her new album SOS, shocking fans. Four tracks of the twenty-three track album will feature different artists.
SOS, being SZA’s second studio album, has been long-awaited. Her last album, Ctrl, was released five years ago in 2017. Over the past three years, songs “Good Days”, “I Hate You”, and “Shirt” have been previewed as singles for the album.
Teagan Humphries (24) said, “I’m so excited for this album! I’ve been waiting forever.”
Although SZA has released many singles since her last album, fans have been waiting for a whole new album. This album will only feature three singles SZA has released, giving fans twenty-three new songs.
American rapper Don Toliver is featured in the song’s chorus “Used”. “Used” is track seven on the album. Toliver was also a co-writer on the song, with SZA and DJ Dahi.
Phoebe Bridgers, an American indie rock musician, is featured on track twelve, “Ghost In The Machine”. Bridgers is featured during the bridge of the song.
Alyssa Koeltzow (24) said, “I love Phoebe Bridgers as an independent artist, so I am excited to see how her style of music is featured on SZA’s new album.”
On track twenty, “Open Arms,” Travis Scott is featured. American rapper Travis Scott has worked with SZA before. Back in 2017, on SZA’s Ctrl album, Scott was featured in “Love Galore”. This song is one of SZA’s top ten songs.
Ol’ Dirty Bastard, a founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan and American rapper, is featured on the last track of SOS. Track twenty-three, “Forgiveless” features Ol’ Dirty Bastard in several verses.
SZA surprised fans with the artists featured in SOS. She combined both her alternative R&B style with rap and indie rock. SOS is a unique album that has been long-awaited.
