Eaton volleyball gains another win
Eaton Reds blow out Timnath, winning all three sets
Eaton volleyball took another win for the season. With a 93% win rate, they are set for finals. Their latest win was against Timnath on Oct. 6 winning 3-0. This was a strong game for the Eaton Reds, keeping Timnath under 15 for every set. They had a total of 32 kills, 17 aces, 4 blocks, and 38 digs. The theme, gender swap, made students fill the stands to support their volleyball team.
Bella Baessler (24) has been on varsity since her freshman year. Baessler said, “The game against Timnath was a blow out. I learned a ton of new things and my blocking was good.¨ This game was the perfect opportunity for all players to heighten their skills and become a better volleyball player.
Junior, Madison Crider, had a strong game with a total of five kills. Crider said, “Timnath was a good game. I think I did really well; I connected with Rylee and got a lot of good opportunities.” Each game a teammate gets awarded player of the match, and this was Crider’s first time. “It was really exciting, and I am actually surprised. This year has been a little tough for me, and getting recognized was definitely a confidence booster,” said Crider.
