Disney always has plans to come out with new movies, but this time they are doing it with a twist. The new movies that are coming out are remakes of movies that are loved across the world: The Little Mermaid (May 26 2023), Avatar (Dec. 16 2022), Black Panther (Nov. 11 2022), Peter Pan and Wendy (2023), The Marvels (July 28 2023), and Hocus Pocus 2  (Sept. 30 2022). This has people jumping with excitement, waiting for the new movies to come out. Theater teacher Kendra Hixon said, “I’m excited to see a change in The Little Mermaid. I know there is a lot of criticism with having a black Little Mermaid, but honestly I think that’s the coolest thing because that’s something we do in theater too.”

Halloween is also just around the corner. There is no better way to enjoy it than by watching Hocus Pocus 2 in a warm blanket eating movie theater popcorn while watching it on a big screen. Hocus Pocus 2 comes out on Sept. 30, 2022 just in time for the spooky season. Tyler Beers (23) said, “The original was so enjoyable to watch and I am absolutely ecstatic to see this new one and what they have done to make it better.”

 People globally are looking forward to all of the movies Disney is coming out with. The movies will bring people across the world into movie theaters just to watch them. Don’t miss the opportunity to catch these movies on the big screen.
