How important are phones? Do we check them more than we need to?
Phones are a necessity in this day and age.
Most mobile phone users check their phones up to 63 times a day according to tech searches. That’s a lot of time wasted just to see a “hey” from a friend. Social media alone takes up to 2-3 hours a day, for how precious time is sure there is something more important to work on. If all the time spent on the phone was used for studying, test scores would likely increase immensely. The smartphone is great at sucking time from the things that matter like school and work, but there are good things about it. Music is a great example along with Google Docs and Google Meets.
These apps make work and school much easier. Another example is “Tik Tok”, which many people are addicted. Landon Anderson (26). stated, “Phones are a necessary part of our everyday life to the point where I couldn’t live without them.” According to Google Play, “Tik Tok” hit the most installed app in the United States. Social media is really important as well. It’s a great way to stay in touch with friends and family. As well as maintain an understanding of what’s happening around the world right now.
