Christmas is the time of year everyone loves, and so much joy in the air. This is the start of Christmas music, movies, outfits, decorations, and so much more. There are so many popular Christmas movies, and it can be very hard to choose a favorite. 

The Grinch is one of the most popular Christmas movies. How the Grinch Stole Christmas was made in 2000, and then Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch was released in 2018. Lately there has been a debate about which movie is better.

Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch (2018) has so many different changes to it, compared to the live action. Jose Lopez (22) said, “The cartoon (2018) because it is cute.” Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch has gained a lot of popularity since it came out – each year more and more people start to like it. Kara Sidwell (24) said, “The 2018 grinch movie is my favorite out of the two. Even though the 2000 grinch movie is the original, the 2018 movie adds a more humorous side while being interesting and entertaining.”

In How the Grinch Stole Christmas The Grinch was played by Jim Carrey, and quite a bit of people liked that, it added so much comedy to it. Cate Adams (21) said, “The live action one because I’ve never been a fan of animated movies, and it is a classic.” The movie has kept its fans, Abby Copeland (23) said, ”The 2000 version because it is more funny and more interesting.”

There are so many different movies and so many to choose from, yet so many people choose How the Grinch Stole Christmas. So many people consider How the Grinch Stole Christmas as their go-to Christmas movie. Jacob Webster (23) said, “The 2000s one because it is a good movie and it’s a go-to for sure.” 

Christmas time brings so many smiles to so many peoples faces, and people can just sit inside, watch movies, and drink hot chocolate with their families. Alicia Munoz (23) said, “My favorite Grinch movie is the 2018 one because it is a fun and amazing movie to watch with family. It would be a go-to of mine because it brings joy and a Christmas feel.”

A lot of people have a preference of what they like to watch when it comes to holidays. There are so many different ways to celebrate holidays, and so many places people can go to celebrate. There are people that like celebrating big and doing so many different things. Then there are the people who just like to have simple holidays and not do that much, like stay in and spend time with family.

In both of the movies the music is different, and there are people that really enjoy the music from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The music becomes different in The Grinch because it is newer and more upbeat. Ashleigh Williams (23) said, “As the movies get newer, the music gets newer and more upbeat. I love a lot of Christmas music, so I love the songs.” The change of music has also changed the way the movies are perceived or seen, and people really enjoy the music.
