Eaton Golf put-ting themselves right into the competition this year
Eaton boys golf are putting up some real competition out there on the course this year.
The Eaton boys golf team poses as a big threat this season. After placing third at the Estes Park Invitational on August 27, the Eaton golf team is leading on a wonderful season. All of the other tournaments that Eaton has played in so far this season have also gone very well for them. On August 11, Eaton placed third once again at Highland Meadows Golf Course. Only two days after that, on August 13 the Eaton Boys placed number one at their home turf, the Eaton Golf Course. Golfer Cole Lockey said (23), “It was my favorite because it’s our home course. Everyone played great on the team and we won the tournament.” Not only did the team win first, three of the Eaton boys got inside the top 15 proving Lockey’s point. A couple days later, on August 18, Eaton placed fifth at the Strasburg Invite. One of the most recent tournaments was the Greeley City Boys Championships which was also known as the Frontier Invite. In this tournament the Eaton Boys golfed their way right into second place. A successful trend is starting to show itself this year for the Eaton Golf team.
