In honor of this years MORP theme, several classes at Eaton were asked what their favorite TV shows were. Tied for the top favorite spot with fifteen votes were the shows Blue Mountain State and Big Bang Theory. In second and third place were Friends, with fourteen votes, and CSI with twelve. Other shows that had high votes were How I Met Your Mother and South Park.
Blue Mountain State: A university football team called the ‘Mountain Goats’ staring Darin Brooks. The main character is the back up quarter back that does whatever he can to stay that way so that he won’t have any serious responsibilities.
Big Bang Theory: A cheesecake waitress that is an aspiring actress moves across the hall from a group of extremely smart male physicists. Penny, the girl, soon finds herself in ridiculous situations such as dressing as Wonder Woman to help the guys win a costume contest or other crazy shenaniganz to get the blondes attention.
Friends: that live in Manhattan. They manage to make humorous messes out of everyday, realistic situations.
CSI (Crime Scene Inspecting): Think you can get away with the perfect murder? Think again…anything in the criminal department and the people that deal with them will catch you. Murder, suicides, robberies, serial killers, you name it. The episodes are thrilling and keep everyday viewers on their toes.
How I Met Your Mother: This is a tale of a man, named Ted, telling his kids how he met their mother. Have you ever played “Have you met Ted?”. Well Ted has. Each episode is a flash back to 2007 when he was still single and hanging out with his best friend, Barney, a lady killer, Marshal and Lilly, newly weds, and Robin, a news reporter.
South Park: An animation that makes fun of anything and everything with no boundaries. Four boys in fourth grade go on adventures that parody cultural and social situations; everything from Michael Jackson, Gulf oil drilling, to old people driving.
If any of these sound interesting, watch an episode or two and see if they are as good as they were voted!
