Beach night resulted in a crazy evening for both the students and the Eaton Reds Volleyball team.  After a tough loss in the second set, an outstanding comeback in set three took the Eaton Reds volleyball team to victory.

Tuesday, Sept. 17, the girls took on the Faith Christain Eagles, and won their first set easily 25-17. The new juniors led by Sydney Leffler, took on the challenge of the new season leading the varsity to a victory.

They took a tough loss in the second set by a score of 25-27 after losing a five-point lead. The Eagles took that momentum to the third set, but after a timeout from coach Gwen Forester, the Reds were able to make a 10-point comeback to win set three 25-23. Sydney Leffler (21) led the team in kills in the game and took the team to victory.

After clinching the win, Leffler said, “We came back after talking as a team and realizing that we all had to make changes individually to come together as a team.” After winning set three, the girls took set four 25-22 to win the game.

Leffler said, “We just realized we needed to have more energy as a team and get excited for the little things.”  Next Tuesday, Sept. 24, the Reds will take on Resurrection Christian High School.
