Every girl deserves a flower on Valentine’s Day

Gentlemen greet ladies at the door

A group of senior and junior gentlemen gifted a carnation to every girl who walked through the door on Valentine’s Day. Teacher Zach Lemon said, “Several years ago some nice young men thought it would be nice to make all the ladies in the school feel special.”The tradition has been carried on by this year’s senior and junior boys who stood at the door with buckets of red, white, and pink carnations and large smiles ready to welcome the girls. Walker Shuman(19) said, “I feel good about handing out the flowers because I think every girl deserves a flower on Valentine’s day and no one should be alone even all the single people. It’s a day of love: It’s a happy day.” Freshman Katie Gomez(22) said, “It was a surprise something I wasn’t expecting but the flowers were pretty, and it’s something nice that the boys did.” Many people have speculated who provides the flowers but part of the magic of the day is no one is allowed to know. “A ‘secret admirer’ gifts the flowers”, said CJ Blaskowski(19). Rumor has it the nine boys are part of a closely bonded group with a variety of young men that has been meeting for lunch over the last few years.
