Golf Stats Stacking Up Strong

Estes Park Invitational: Eaton placed 3rd in Estes Park August 31.

Other Eaton scores: Peter Grossenbacher (19) 77, Ethan Alcazar (18) 77, Walker Scott (20) 80, Bryce Leafgren (20) 81.

Frontier Invitational: Peter Grossenbacher (19) lead the team with a score of 73 and won individual scoring.

Resurrection Christian Invitational: Eaton placed 3rd at Highland Meadows August 29. Grossenbacher lead the team with a score of 70 and won individual scoring.

Loveland Invitational: Eaton placed 3rd out of 18 teams at The Olde Course in Loveland in August 24. Grossenbacher (19) led the team with a score of 75 to tie for 4th place. Grossenbacher played an unflappable game with 13 straight pars in a row. Walker Scott (20) and Ethan Alcazar (18) followed closely with scores of 78 and 79 respectively. Maio said he was proud of his team which faced some of its most impressive competition. “We held up pretty well today against much larger schools,” Maio said. “Peter Grossenbacher started with a few bogeys then made 13 straight pars, very consistent.”

Eaton Invitational: Right at home, and hosting 25 teams, Eaton claimed third at the Eaton Country Club Invitational on Thursday, Aug. 17. Alcazar (18), took 5th place out of 104 players with a two-over-par score of 73. Alcazar said, “This was a really big deal to me because I played really hard that day, and although some missed opportunities came, I’m very satisfied with the score.”

Eaton tied Fairview high school for a third place finish on Monday, August 14 at the Highland Hills Golf Course. In the tournament hosted by Greeley West, Alcazar (18) and Scott (20) led the team with scores of 79 and 80. sil Ridge was second at 240.

Dual Match vs. Dawson: Eaton began its season at Indian Peak in Lafayette with a dual match against Alexander Dawson High School on August 11th. A dual means that there are two teams playing head-to-head. Each player won his individual match, making the final score 5-0.
