The rhyme for Halloween is “trick or treat, give me something good to eat.” Key club isn’t asking for something good to eat, but the idea of live-giving. Key club has joined The Eliminate Project, to help with UNICEF. UNICEF’s goal is to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Tetanus is a disease that affects the nerves and muscles causing spasms that can be fatal. In babies this causes irritability to light, touch, and spasms. The Eliminate Project helps raise money for, serengies vaccines, transportation, and staff to immunized mothers and their babies. around 60,000 babies are lost each year due to this disease, and the Eliminate Project is reaching out to the poorest babies and women in the world. Key club will place a UNICEF Trick-or-treat box in each classroom from October 8-26 . Students will then be encouraged to giving for this cause.
