Reds wrestler wins Champion Title in the 152 weight class

Freshman wrestler, Isaiah Salazar, earned the Champion Title in the 152 pound weight class on Feb. 19. He earned this first-place finish over Weld Central’s Jimmy LaConte (18) who beat Salazar earlier in the season. On the last day of state wrestling, the Eaton team took ninth place as a team. Along with the team finish, two of Eaton’s 10 qualifying wrestlers placed during the tournament. Braeson Lewis (18) placed fourth in the 160 pound class. Jake Sandau (18) took fifth in the 182 pound class. Eaton sent 10 qualifiers to state this year, among them were Toby Gavette (19), Ariel Rodrigues (18), Jackson Contreras (19), David Pringle (18), Hayden Gavette (18), Braedy Sturdevant (18), and Ty Garnhart (19) along with the three placers.
